Rehearsal Camp Audition Weekend - Brass & Percussion

BRASS & PERCUSSION - Registration Process
1. Submit a March Camp Weekend RSVP so we can plan accordingly for your
attendance.
2. Fill out the Drum Corps membership application - if not already submitted
3. Submit the following documents and payments postmarked by Friday, March 12.
1. March Rehearsal Weekend PRE-REGISTRATION FEE - $85 for first time
participants/$60 for veteran members of 2009 & additional weekends
2. March Tuition/Fees payment - $540 - this is according to the payment schedule.
3. Submit your Membership Contract, Member Info Sheet and $195 deposit - if not already submitted.
4. Return your electronic & recurring payment form - if you choose this option.
5. Medical Release form - if not already submitted.
6. Copy of insurance card - Front and Back

Please note that any registration docs/payment postmarked AFTER March 12 will
incur an additional $15 fee.
Rehearsal Weekend fees are non-refundable.
4. Download/review the exercises/materials in the resources area for your respective
section.
5. Check the Drum Corps members only forum regularly for updates from staff.
6. Practice and prepare for a great rehearsal weekend.

What to Bring
Be prepared to be outside pending weather
Here is a suggested list of items that you should plan on bringing to camp:
$75 Rehearsal Camp Weekend Fee - Veteran member of 2009 and additional weekends (unless you pre-registered)
$100 Rehearsal Camp Weekend Fee - first time participant (unless you pre-registered)
Sleeping Bag/Pillow, Bath Towel, Water Bottle
Toiletries - shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, etc.
Backpack, for transporting items needed for rehearsal
Comfortable clothes (t-shirts, shorts, sweatpants, warmups)
good pair of athletic shoes - no sandals/dress shoes will be allowed for rehearsal
Sweatshirt - for temperature comfort, if necessary
Sun Block (for outside only) and Lip Balm, Hat or visor - required (for outside only)
Pencil(s), Clothespins (for outside only)
Section specifics
Please visit the resources page for additional downloads of exercises and documents. Please have these exercises with you at rehearsal and looked through prior to rehearsal.
Brass – please bring your own instrument and mouthpiece. Some instruments will be provided. Gloves will be required for rehearsals. We will have some available for purchase. $3 per pair or 2 for $5.
Battery – please bring your own sticks for the drum that you would like to be on and a drum pad. We will have bass drums and some battery/cymbal gear available, as well as sticks/mallets for each drum. These are available to purchase through the duration of camp.
Front Line – please bring mallets and we will have equipment for you to play on. We have mallets if you do not have any to bring.
Color Guard – please wear comfortable clothes and attire SHOULD NOT cover the feet or ankles. We will have flags and bring your own rifle (if you have one).

For those that are interested in volunteering during the rehearsal weekend, please contact Traci Glasscock about what things might need to be done and where your time could be best used.
