Legends Drum & Bugle Corps seeks Color Guard members

If you are interested in color guard and want to march drum corps, Legends is looking for you.  We will be holding color guard auditions during our April Camp on April 23-25, 2010 in the Kalamazoo MI area.  This is a mandatory camp for those interested in marching in our color guard program this summer.  Need more details about the drum corps, visit our drum corps area of the website to help answer some of your questions regarding tuition, expectations, and schedule.  If you are planning on attending please fill out a membership application.  If you have any questions about our color guard program, feel free to contact our Color Guard Supervior, Ryan Miller.  We look forward to seeing you in April.

March Drum & Bugle Corps Camp Weekend

The next camp is March 19-21 and will be held at Parchment Middle School.  If you are planning on attending please fill out a Drum & Bugle Corps March Camp RSVP by Friday, March 12, 2010.

1 Marimba
1 Timpani
1 Mellophone
4 Baritones
5 Trumpets

If you are interested in marching this summer, please fill out a membership application by Friday, March 12, 2010.

2010 Drum Corps Brass Manuals now available!

Please print these, prepare, and bring to the camp this weekend, December 11-13.

The 2010 Drum Corps Season is underway and we are excited to take the field once again.  If you are interested in becoming of member of Legends, please take a moment to fill out our Drum Corps Membership Application.  For more information regarding specifics for the 2010 season, please visit the Drum & Bugle Corps section.

Legends has been operating an indoor ensemble since 2001 and a drum and bugle corps since Summer 2006.  Approaching our 5th summer operation, we are excited to keep this opportunity alive in Michigan.  Come be a part of this DCI Open Class opportunity and reserve your spot today!

New Winter Guard Program Launched

Legends is excited to announce the addition of a Winter Guard to its list of programs that is offered.  "We have discussed and planned for this opportunity since 2007," says Ibe Sodawalla, Executive Director.  "I am pleased that the Kalamazoo MI area is excited to see this program offered and supported by its area Band Directors."  Ryan Miller, Colorguard Supervisor says, "I am excited to be part of this newest addition to the Legends Performing Arts Association .  The Legends winter guard will provide a great opportunity for performers in the Kalamazoo area to expand on their performance experiences through the winter months."

Congratulations Legends on a successful 2009 season!

Legends finished in 10th place at the DCI World Championships Open Class Finals with a score of 81.95.  Legends was also honored with three special awards from DCI, which were presented during the Open Class retreat and awards ceremony.

Legends received the award for Most Improved Corps, Open Class.  Congratulations to the entire corps and staff on all your hard work this season and receiving this very special award!

Also receiving a very special award today, the Jim Jones Leadership Award, Open Class is Legends Drum Major, Kelly Koch.  Congratulations Kelly on receiving this very special award!

Receiving the Outstanding Corps Director, Open Class is Legends Director, Ibe Sodawalla.  Congratulations Ibe on this very special award, and thank you for all your hard work and dedication to Legends!
